This means to go above and beyond your job responsibilities and do a little bit more

Get feedback from your employer
What is yes, you should expect feedback from your employer. In fact, you probably will get a yearly (or sometimes twice a year) review of how you did working and with expectations they have.

Remember, employers are counting on you to be there every day. When you are not there, someone else has to "fill in" for you.
Should there be employer training
What is yes, most employers will provide the employee with some training to do their job. Sometimes this training is by following around another employee and watching them do the job. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand something.
This means that you are on time and will call if you are going to be late

What is no. References should NOT be family. References should be someone not related to you (examples of good references may be teachers or counselors if you are still in school or former co-workers or friends if you have a job or have had a job)
Mention Skills and Experience
What is yes, you should mention BOTH your skills and your experience. Remember, you are trying to "sell" yourself to a potentional employer.
Is communication important
What is communication is extremely important in all parts of your life, but especially on the job. If you do not like how something is being worked out, it is important that you speak to your supervisor and let them know your concerns. You may still have to do it the way it is, but the supervisor may be flexible and allow changes to help you out.
Are there company policies and employee expectations
What is yes, there are company policies that you need to read and understand. There are also employee expectations that you should know and understand. It is important to know both of these, as you could get fired if you do not follow either of these.
This means that you can take direction from someone above you and listen to them to do your job

What is yes, you should list any and all skills you have. Examples are: typing, computer, communication
Thank you card or email
What is either one is fine to send. It is important that you thank them for their time. If the employer is hiring quickly, though, it may make more sense to send an email (which can be a quicker thing to send).
Motivation -- why
What is yes, motivation is very important. Your employer wants to know that you are motivated to come to work and do a great job. If they see that you are not as motivated as another employee, you may not get a promotion that they are thinking of giving you.
Can you work in an unsafe environment
What is no, it is not OK to have to work in an unsafe environment. Every employee is supposed to feel safe in their work environment. If you do not, you need to report this to your supervisor or personnel.
