-She portrays an archetype of the "Onee-san", despite being the only CPU that does not have a sister (she has tried on several instances to "steal" other CPUs sisters be her sister instead lol)

Microsoft Xbox 360, Microsoft's second console released for retail in 2005. A hugely successful western console known for series like Halo and Gears of War.

Blanc

- A CPU known for her belief that fun comes first before hardware.

- She is often treated as a child by other characters, despite being one of the oldest CPUs.

-She can transform into the HDD "White Heart".

-She portrays an archetype of the "kuudere", often times spending time alone to read books. She only truly opens up to her little sisters Ram and Rom.

Nintendo Wii, a seventh-gen console that was released for retail in 2006. Often seen as less powerful than the other competitors at the time, the Wii was still home to several massive hits including Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy, focusing on Nintendo's core philosophy that fun should come before hardware.

- A CPU known for her being a workaholic, saying how she "only does everything" (HINT).

- She is often teased by the other CPUs due to her gullibility and how she has trouble making new friends.

-She can transform into the HDD "Black Heart".

-She portrays an archetype of the "tsundere", often being cold and rude while hiding her friendly nature.

-She is the older sister of Uni.

Sony Playstation 3. Sony's second console released for retail in 2006. A console known for packing in tons of features to try and get a leg up on competitors (Blu-ray, backwards compatibility, free online). Her phrase of "only does everything" is a slogan from the release campaign for the original Playstation (a philosophy Sony has tried to hold onto).

- A CPU known for past triumphs, but as of today is seen as a bit lazy.

- A true memer; likes to poke fun at other CPUs (despite often times being the least successful in her kingdom)

-She can transform into the HDD "Purple Heart".

-She portrays an archetype of the "Genki", often times being hyperactive and over-enthusiastic (despite her laziness when it comes to working)

-She is the older sister of Nepgear.

SEGA Neptune, an unreleased console that would have combined the Sega Genesis and 32X for retail in 1995. When the prototype was finished, the SEGA Saturn had already been finished, so the console was shelved.

Peashy

- A girl from an alternate universe, she was transformed into a CPU by the antagonists of the 3rd game (Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory/Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3).

- Being young, she often mispronounces words and loves to play with others (despite being rough due to her strength).

-She can transform into the HDD "Yellow Heart".

-She portrays an archetype of the "Genki", often times being hyperactive and over-enthusiastic (she gets along very well with Neptune, giving her the nickname "Neptuna")

PC-Engine (JP), known as the TurboGrafx-16 in the west, released for retail in 1987. It is known for being the smallest major home console ever made (dimensions of 14 cm × 14 cm × 3.8 cm). The console had poor reception in the west, with western regions receiving a fraction of the games library with terrible translations (many misspellings and mispronunciations). - A CPU Candidate known for being kind, calm and hardworking (the exact opposites of her older sister Neptune lmao)

- She is obsessed with tech and the latest fads in it.

-She can transform into the HDD "Purple Sister".

-She is a nice person, often times being kind to everyone and never really showing a mean side. (Sometimes she wants to scold her older sister Neptune to work, but can never really bring herself to...)

Sega Game Gear, released for retail in 1991. Segas idea to complete with the fad that was the gameboy and other portable gaming handhelds like Tiger Handheld Games.

Uni

- A CPU Candidate known for being a perfectionist. She tries very hard to compete with her older sister's work ethic.

- She is into cosplay like her older sister.

-She can transform into the HDD "Black Sister".

-She portrays an archetype of the "tsundere" (like her older sister Noire), often being cold and rude while hiding her friendly nature.

Playstion Portable (PSP), released for retail in 2004. This handheld tried to be the best (and was imho for a while). Having superior graphics and library compared to any handhelds at the time (even a movie library with their movie UMDs). Once again, Sony tried to do it all. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the PSVITA... (at least in terms of popularity and library, I still love that thing to death)

- These CPU Candidates are the younger sisters of Blanc, Ram is an extrovert while Rom is shy.

- Ram loves to play while Rom likes to sleep.

-They can transform into the HDDs "White Sisters".

-They are polar opposites, Ram is "Genki" while Rom is "Kuudere" like her older sister.

Nintendo DS, released for retail in 2004. This handheld gaming device used touch-screen technology and tried to appeal to a larger demographic than other game systems at the time. Commercials would show people out on the town, playing with Pictochat or quietly at home, playing stuff like Nintendogs.

Plutia

- A CPU known for being cute and sleepy most of the time. But her personality flips when she becomes her HDD, Iris Heart.

- She makes dolls of all of her friends!

-She can transform into the HDD "Iris Heart".

-She rules the same kingdom as Neptune (Planeptune) but from a different timeline.

-She portrays an archetype of the "dorodere", She maintains a cutesy appearance, but when she becomes Iris Heart, her sadistic and disturbed side makes an appearance.

Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis), released for retail in 1989. This console was the first 16-bit console to hit public retail markets. They would often take stabs at their competitor Nintendo, lashing out with marketing campaigns such as "Genesis does what Ninten-don't".

Rei Ryghts

- A CPU from a fallen nation, she is the main antagonist of the 3rd game (Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory/Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3).

-She is one of the oldest CPUs in the game (same could be said of her console) (HINT)

-She can transform into the HDD "CPU of Chaos".

-She portrays an archetype of the "Split Personality", switching between a meek, apologetic, and fearful woman to a megalomaniac despot, longing for the power she once held long ago. 

Atari 2600, released for retail in 1977. This console along with its company "Atari, Inc.", are known for paving the way as some of the first developers of mainstream gaming systems and games. They are certainly now regarded as relics of the past, with their last major hardware release being the Atari Jaguar CD in 1996. They have stayed in the market with retro releases of their previous works and merchandise. -She is a strong fighter using hand-to-hand combat.

-Her outfit looks kinda familiar...

Capcom Co., Ltd.

Her design references several Capcom franchises:

• The military style of her outfit is inspired by Jill Valentine from Capcom's Resident Evil franchise.
• Her blue color scheme and her arm cannons are also a reference to Capcom's Mega Man with her wings most likely being based on Shade Man's from the same series or Morrigan's from Darkstalkers. A character-exclusive accessory gives her wings on her head similar to the succubi of Darkstalkers as well.
• Her design is similar to the designs of Chun-Li and Cammy, both of them being characters from Capcom's Street Fighter franchise.
• Her skill "Giant Sword Dance" is a reference to Monster Hunter, where she charges an attack with a giant sword from Monster Hunter
• Her equippable weapon, a crystal orb in a gauntlet, is a reference to Onimusha.

-She portrays an archetype of the "Chuunibyou", being edgy, while not really being all that powerful...

-She fights using swords and spells.

-Speaks like someone straight out of a medieval fantasy...

Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. 

Being based on Square Enix, S-Sha show several references to their games (most of them related to the Final Fantasy series)

• When transformed, she gains a tilt golden crown, similar to the character Sora from Kingdom Hearts series, most notably Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+; The shield she gains also bears a design similar to shields used by Goofy in the same series;
• One of her catchphrases is "This is my story", a quote shared by several Square Enix characters, most notably Tidus from Final Fantasy X;
• Several of her skills draw a reference to Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, such as her poses with the sword prior to attacking, and an attack that resembles his Omnislash move from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
• One of her quotes references the saving system of Dragon Quest.
• During one special move, S-Sha will summon what appears to be a Meteor to crush her enemies; Meteor is a recurring spell in the Final Fantasy series, though the version here most likely refers to the one seen in Final Fantasy VII, summoned by the character Sephiroth;
• Another allusion to Sephiroth is the single wing she gains when transformed, as Sephiroth is often regarded as the "One-Winged Angel", and his Kingdom Hearts design features him with a single wing on his right;

- A member of Gold Third from Megadimension Neptunia VII.

- She likes toys and building models (like those G****M?)

-She loves money.

-She already bears a resemblance to an iconic gaming character with her pose...

Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. 

• Her eyes and color scheme reference the Pac-Man series, with B-Sha's eyes often taking on a black beady appearance shaped like the titular character's eyes in older designs, and her color scheme tends toward the hues used for the Pac-Man character design.
• Her love of money may be a reference to Pac-Man as it started out as an arcade game. People used coins to play the game, which caused it to make a lot of money due to it's popularity.
• Her love of Toy models is a reference to the multimedia franchise that Bandai Namco works with, GUNDAM.
• The mech flying alongside her in her "Gold Form" is literally just a mecha pac-man.

- A member of Gold Third from Megadimension Neptunia VII.

- She has a secret romantic obsession with Noire (That console? hmmmm...). Even to the point of becoming a yandere when other people are friendly with Noire.

-She fights with guns and tactical methods.

Konami Digital Entertainment

K-Sha has several references to Konami's Metal Gear franchise. Most notably that she occasionally hides in cardboard boxes like several Metal Gear characters, the mechanism on her back in her Gold Form resembles parts of Metal Gear REX, and that she is wearing an eye-patch in her Gold Form, like Big Boss, but on the opposite eye. Her murderous persona may be a reference to Raiden's murderous persona, known as "Jack the Ripper", from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. 

• K-Sha's hat in her Gold Form has a similar design to the head of Jehuty from Zone of the Enders.
• One of her special attacks includes a clear reference to Konami's scrolling shooter video game series TwinBee.
• The bottoms of K-Sha's shoes have a design with the Konami Code written on them.
