What is the purpose of a Daily Standup?

The daily standup is a 15-minute time-boxed event that occurs at the same time every day.  The purpose of the standup is to allow the delivery team to synchronize activities and create a plan for the next 24 hours. The team uses the daily standup to inspace progress toward the sprint goal and to inspect how progress is trending toward completing the work in the sprint backlog.  The standup optimizes the probability that the team will meet the sprint goal.

How does a Delivery Manager use their expertise to bring clarity to ambiguity for their customers?

Ask clarifying questions. Try not to assume. If assumptions are necessary, make sure to state and verify them.

To help bring clarity, often it is helpful to think and communicate in terms of Options – each with pros, cons and considerations – and Recommendations

Draw from your past experience. Consider “storytelling” as a technique to bring clarity.

Visuals and demos often create clarity compared to explanations and abstraction
