If you feel that a certain grade does not accurately reflect your mastery, you may ask to do this for most assignments in the Reading, Writing, Listening/Speaking and Language category. You will likely be asked to help design this- so come with ideas. You must initiate this conversation if you want this opportunity and do so within a week of receiving a grade.

Grades are a measure of your academic performance... not who you are as a person or how bright your future will be... And above all else, try to maintain perspective. Whatever grade you earn in this class should be a reflection of the quality of your work, not the last word in your academic career.
