Most of the OT was written in Hebrew with a small amount of Aramaic.

Most of the NT was written in Greek with a small amount of Aramaic.

The Bible had over 44 authors and was written over a 2000-year period, so it's impressive that the language was all transcribed.

In chapter 6, Moses focuses on how we should grow more faithful each generation, so be more faithful than our parents, and this will ultimately lead to not only more but also stronger believers. After chapter 6, near the end of Deuteronomy, Moses has his final speech, and it talks about how we should obey God and gain blessing, and turn away from him and face eternity apart from him.

Idolatry is having something else in your life that you put above almost everything else. This could be money, sports, fame, etc. This can make it hard to focus on God and his word. So it's making an idol out of something that isn't God, and it is a big thing that many people deal with.

Why was the story of Job, and how can we use it as an example of how to live?

This story shows how a faithful man isn't made by what he has or is given to him by God. So God takes everything away from him, destroying his life, and he stays faithful when it seems truly impossible. This is inspirational and shows Christians how we should behave in hard times. I feel like if this happened to anyone nowadays, we would be so bitter and angry.

The purpose was to summarize the gospel of salvation by Grace through faith alone and describe the nature and role of the church in God's eternal plan.
