What is Boss Managment

In an elementary setting, the Seganti approach makes a bit more sense, because small children may have a harder time gaining a sense of ownership of rule structure in the classroom. However, for secondary and above, Glasser's approach would give students more value in the classroom structure. However, I do think elementary students are capable of giving input on preferred activities and how they felt about certain assignments.

What is lead managment?

Glasser's approach makes me think of bringing people to the round table while Morrish and Seganti make me think of boundaries and walls. While one needs boundaries in any relationship especially a student-teacher relationship one needs to have the recommendations of Glasser's approach of being Caring, Supportive, Respecting, and Trusting. For me, I think that for elementary students one needs more of a segment flair but with Glasser's undertones. One without the other is just sad

What is Lead Management?

The way Glasser described how to handle a situation if students did break rules really resonated with me. It fits with the idea of lead management in that you are not punishing a student, or blaming or nagging them. You simply treat them like a human and give them time to calm down and work together to find a way to prevent it in the future. In doing so, you build the relationship with the student that Glasser asks for, while also giving them a nurturing place to express emotions and learn how to deal with them proactively which is something they might not normally get at home. Along with that, creating a warm environment for students to learn and showing them resources for the best way to do that is really important, and in elementary school, this can be modified and used as a beginning way to identify resources for research projects in later schooling.

What is Boss Management?

This thought process really resonates with me. It pairs well with Wongs' method, which I like a lot. Glasser brings out the humanity and the thoughts and emotions of people into the classroom. The very essence of learning, school, and teaching is the students and with them the problems, culture, and emotions that come with them. As a semi-known professor once said in this class we are not robots teaching robots. This chapter demands us to be in touch with our own emotions and needs to feel our students' emotions. If we don't know our students then we cant begin to motivate them yet alone teach them.
