These two building on campus hold a majority of the research labs. Some of the labs in these buildings are the Aqueous Biogeochemistry Lab, Geomicrobiology and Geotechnical Lab, Rat Lab, and Earth Science Remote Sensing Lab. These are just a few of the labs and the best thing about these labs at WMU is that undergraduate students get to partake in the research!

This institute is the campus home of four international research centers that aid WMU in expanding and advancing instructional programs and language study to students, faculty and community members for research and study overseas. The research centers here are: Center for African Development Policy Research, Confucius Institute at WMU, Timothy Light Center for Chinese Studies, and Michitoshi Soga Japan Center.
