Mass is something we all take part in, like praying and singing.
Why is the altar vested like the priest?
Just as the priest is dressed in special vestments to offer the sacrifice, so is the altar vested with sacred items to show its holiness and preparation for Mass.

Because our actions show respect and love in a visible way. Worship involves our whole selves not just our thoughts.
Why do we touch our shoulders when making the Sign of the Cross? What does it symbolize?
Touching our shoulders represents the love that flows from the Father and Son, which is the Holy Spirit.
How do all the Vessels and things on the altar help us worship God?
Jesus’ presence, his sacrifice, hearts focus on the mystery of the Eucharist.
