Praise and give honor to God
Why are the angels always worshipping God?
Because they are in heaven with God, where they are always giving him glory and thanks.
Why is the Opening Prayer called, "The Collect?"
Because the priest is "collecting" all the prayers of the people to offer up to God the Father
Why do we ask God through the priest to help us become pure, holy, and undefiled?
To receive the body and blood of Christ at Mass.
What’s the difference between Venial and Mortal sin?
Venial weakens our relationship while Mortal breaks our relationship with God.
Why are we encouraged to fully participate in singing the Gloria?
Singing is praying twice according to St. Augustine.
What heavenly gift do we participate in during the Mass?
We participate in Christ’s sacrifice in the Eucharist.
Why does the priest say, “Let us pray,” and not, “Let me pray?”
