AP Capstone is a diploma program based on two yearlong AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. It was created and endorsed by 250 TOP UNIVERSITIES. Participating in AP Capstone will help you stand out to colleges in the application process.
If I am in the Magnet Program, am I allowed to be in extracurriculars?
YES! You can be involved in all extracurriculars as you will be a Woodland High School Student.

What is an Anatomage Table? Why is it highly desired by colleges?
The Anatomage Table is the most technologically advanced 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool for anatomy. It is loaded with real cadavors and their stories.

Does Woodland offer as many AP classes as the other high schools?
The Medical Science studies program at Woodland high school offers more AP classes than the other two high schools in Bartow County.
If I am in the Magnet Program, will I have classes with students NOT in the Magnet Program?
You will have the opportunity to work with Magnet and Non-Magnet students on campus. We embrace the motto that "All Means All" and we instill that in our students on a daily basis.
Do I get to pick my schedule?
In the magnet program, you will receive unique 1 on 1 guidance with creating your schedule.
Why should a Magnet student take AP classes instead of dual enrollment?
When applying to colleges, recruiters and counselors will look at AP classes more than dual enrollment. AP courses are recognized globally for its curriculum and level of rigor as where dual enrollment is recognized locally for the level of rigor provided by the teacher.
Is this program the right choice for me even if I don't want to be in the medical profession?
YES! There are many jobs one could apply for that are not related to the medical field, but an immediate benefit that comes from this program is the exposure to information and the high expectations we hold for all of our students.
Are we allowed to ask the upperclassmen in the Magnet Program for help?
Absolutely! The great thing about Magnet is the opportunities we provide in the school to collaborate with your peers. Our objective is to put in you the most successful environment we can create and that starts with the relationships you create with other Magnet cohorts.
What tips can you give me for homework? Will I have more than other students?
Homework will help you in the class.

How do students use the Magnet Lounge?
It is a place that Magnet students use before school and during lunches to collaborate in groups on work and projects. It provides a relaxing and friendly environment. Teachers often drop by for additional tutoring and emotional support.
