What is a Bid?
The officers of a College Panhellenic Association responsible for running the day to day business of the College Panhellenic Association.
What is Panhellenic Exec?
Greek women who are carefully selected and trained to guide PNMs and answer any questions related to Panhellenic recruitment.
What is a Recruitment Counselor/ Gamma Chi?
The colors of Chi Omega.
What is Cardinal and Straw?
The colors of Delta Delta Detla.
What is Silver, Blue, and Gold?
A specific organization or cause to which members donate volunteer hours and money.
What is a philanthropy?
Day or days during recruitment when you visit a specific number of chapters, they typically have a them (philanthropy, sisterhood, etc).
What is a round?
A written statement in support of a woman for membership.
What is a recommendation letter?
The number of points on the crown symbol of Zeta Tau Alpha.
What is 5?
This sorority supports the Ronald McDonald House Charities nationwide.
What is Alpha Delta Pi?
The period of time when conversation and contact between PNMs and sorority actives, new members, alumni, and agents is strictly limited by the Panhellenic Recruitment rules.
What is Strict Silence?
When a PNM's stated willingness to receive an invitation or bid from a chapter does not match with that organization's list of PNMs invited to its recruitment event or membership.
What is a release?
The process by which sororities invite PNMs to return, and PNMs make lists in order of which houses they would like to return to.
What is Mutual Selection?
The motto "Do Good" comes from this sorority's founding values.
What is Delta Gamma?
This sorority emphasizes personal integrity, lifelong commitment, and intellectual curiosity.
What is Alpha Chi Omega?
The number of potential new members each Panhellenic sorority chapter can accept/ offer bids to.
What is quota?
During the formal bid matching process, women who were not matched or withdrew from recruitment may be offered bids from a sorority not yet reaching quota. PNM must have registered for recruitment and attended at least one round of the process however did not complete the process or did not match to a chapter.
What is Snap Bidding?
The process through which NPHC sororities and fraternities select new members.

What is the Hannah Doll?
When a woman lists only one chapter on her MRABA following preference round but attended more than one preference event, therefor she is not guaranteed a bid because she did not maximize her options.
