1163-Exempt Providers are exempt from Orientation & Safety, Basic Training, and HCA certification requirements due to their 'grandfathered' status.

1163 providers must have worked in long-term care settings between 01/01/2011 - 01/06/2012 and have completed all the required training at the time.

Are there any licenses that exempt providers from all training requirements? If so, what are they?

Providers who hold an active RN (Registered Nurse), ARNP (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner), or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) credential are exempt from all HCA training requirements as long as their DOH credential is in good standing.
