they did this because they needed water to grow crops. they used the water for irrigation, drinking, and laundry. the women mainly used it for washing and cleaning and cookin. the men used it for watering animals and growing crops.

they would be buried with their riches because when they go on to the afterlife they would be rich and not poor. these items include their gold, valued items, and their uniform. if the pharaoh doesn't have a good afterlife then no one will. your life will not be happy if the gods aren't.

two inventions made by the Song dynasty are gunpowder and the compass. the compass was made out of a spoon-like object. the gunpowder was used as an immortality potion, they also used it in medicine to help stop bleeding, they also used it as fireworks. the compass was made from magnetized metal, made to compromise which way was fastest and to find direction.

two pillars of Islam are fasting and prayer. fasting is where you don't eat anything from sun up to sundown during the month of September during Ramadan, you can only eat at dark. prayer happens during the daily life of a Muslim, they have to pray at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset, and night. Muslims can pray anywhere. they can also ake personal prayers along with verses from teh Qur'an.
