This Greek city-state had a direct democracy. Parts of its government included the Ekklesia, the Boule, and the Diskateria.
What is Athens?
This man was found mummified in the alps. He tells us a lot about how Neolithic people lived.
Who is Otzi?
During this period people were nomadic hunter-gatherers who made tools out of stone, bone, and wood.

This man was assassinated for becoming too powerful. This led to the end of the Roman Republic.

During this period people became sedentary and built permanent homes. They also began to use copper to make tools.

Start of farming and domestication of animals.

This man was the first emperor of Rome. He became emperor after gaining victory Rome's civil wars which began in 43 BCE.

War between Athens, Sparta, and their allies which lasted from 431-405 BCE.

Neolithic village in China famous for its pottery and thought to have been run by women.

River Valley Civilization famous for its bronze work and walled cities. The capital moved with new rulers. This civilization worshipped their ancestors.
What is Shang China?
In the Roman Republic this social class held most of the power. They were the only class allowed to serve in the Senate or become consuls.
Who are the Patricians?
This man created an empire that spanned from Greece to India by the time he reached his mid-30s. His empire spread Greek culture and facilitated trade.

Neolithic village in Scotland that had houses built into midden mounds and an early version of a plumbing system. It was likely destroyed by a storm.
