Assuming what one is trying to prove.
What is circular reasoning?
Objects produced by a people group to accomplish various tasks.
What are artifacts?
The foundation for our knowledge and wisdom.
What is the Bible?
God withholding punishment from us because of his loving kindness.
What is mercy?
A big story about the world to help people make sense out of life.
What is a metanarrative?
A broad cultural movement rejecting the claim that reason and science can lead people to truth.
What is postmodernism?
The customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group.
What is culture?
The soundness of an action or decision with regard to the application of experience, knowledge, and good judgment.
What is wisdom?
The free and unmerited favor of God.
What is grace?
The capacity of orderly thinking.
What is reason?
Humans are sinful and therefore cannot save themselves.
What is the Biblical worldview?
The study of right and wrong and how to tell the difference.
What are ethics?
God's words to the natural order directing it to behave as He chooses.
What are laws of nature?
Divine favor continuously shown to all people, even to those who are God's enemies.
What is common grace?
Observation of the world using the five senses.
What is experience?
Human reason informed by science is the only reliable path to truth.
What is the secular worldview?
The label referring to the instruction of Genesis 1:28.
What is the creation mandate?
God's words to the human race guiding us in how we are to live in the world.
What are creational norms?
The entire inner being of each human that has been tainted by the corruption brought about by sin.
What is total depravity?
Justified true belief.
What is knowledge?
This allows Christians to hold onto their worldview while still benefitting from secular privilege.
What does it mean to have a two story view of reality?
Fill the earth and subdue it.
What does Genesis 1:28 call Christians to do?
God's activity by which he governs everything in the world-humans as well as the natural order.
