(1) While there is little doubt that extracurricular opportunities at UT are a positive and critical component of students‟ overall development, providing students with time management skills is equally important. An ever-present reminder of the leader's power was the true purpose of the statues on Easter Island. The chiefs had to show their power to maintain control, keep the economy afloat, and maintain the social hierarchy. The mystery may never be solved definitively for some, but this case is surely one that stands out in history books.
