Describe the punishments placed on Germany after World War I. How did those punishments lead to World War II?

Punishments: Germany lost land; they were forced to pay billions of dollars to Britain and France, which contributed to an economic depression in Germany; they could have no more than 100,000 soldiers, with no submarines or air force; they had to accept blame for the war. This caused Germany to feel embarrassed and lose its pride. They were desperate for a strong leader to make Germany great again, which is what attracted them to Hitler. Hitler was brought to power and sought to conquer many lands.

Describe how Hitler violated restrictions placed on Germany. How did the leaders of France and Britain respond to those violations? Why did they respond that way?

Hitler grew his military to 600,000 soldiers instead of 100,000. He took Austria, the Sudetenland, and Czechoslovakia. Britain and France continued to appease Hitler, hoping that he would not violate the treaty anymore. They appeased him because they were afraid of going back to war and wanted to avoid war at all costs.
