What are chores?
Making your bed, cleaning your room, feeding the dog
At school, who should we listen to for directions?
Staff (teachers, paras, principal, bus drivers, etc).
What should you do when you get home from school?
Put away your coat/bookbag/shoes, take care of homework, and any chores before you have free time.
If you see trash on the ground, what should you do?
Throw it away and then wash your hands.
Why do we have a bedtime?
To make sure we get enough sleep to feel good in the morning.
How do you ask for help?
During class, raise your hand and wait to be called on. Between class time, seek out a staff member or friend.
What should you do every morning?
Brush your teeth, brush your hair, get dressed, have breakfast, pack your bookbag, etc.
What is recycling? Why do we recycle?
Recycling is important. You can recycle paper, cardboard, cans, and more. It keeps garbage that can be reused out of the landfill.
What is a curfew?
The time your parents or guardians set for you to be home.
What is homework?
Work assigned to be done at home and brought back the next day.
How many times a day should you brush your teeth?
At least twice a day
If you are at the store, and there is a long line, what should you do?
Patiently wait in line for your turn.
Who should help clean the house?
Everybody who lives in the house should help clean it.
How do you prepare for class?
Be on time, come into the room quietly, and have any materials ready to use.
Who cleans your room?
YOU should be the one to clean your room!!
What is volunteering?
When you do extra things for neighbors, parents and the community without expecting something in return
What is yard work?
Raking leaves, mowing the lawn, pulling weeds, planting flowers.
How can you show responsibility in the hallway?
Walking (not running), staying on the right side, not loitering, no jumping or roughhousing.
What chores do you do around the house?
Answers vary. Laundry, dishes, vacuum, sweep, dust, etc.
If you bump into someone in the store, how should your react?
Make sure you are okay, make sure the other person is okay, help them up if needed, and apologize. Do not get angry, accidents happen.
