Conduct work in compliance with radioactive materials licenses

< 100 mrem/year as measured on the whole body badge
Non-Agreement States, Federal Territories, and Federally owned facilities are overseen by this regulatory agency

Prepare liquid sources, Ship radioactive materials, Leave sources in tool kits until job is completed
What are Authorized Users NOT permitted to do
These are evaluated based upon severity and immediate risk to employees or the general public and could be accidental or willful
What are violations
An AU must be able to find and access these documents during an inspection
Current state or NRC license, depending upon the location

A CSE who meets all requirements to handle and use radioactive material.
What is an Authorized User
This worker will be issued an additional dosimeter badge to be worn at the navel and read monthly
