Carpooling is sharing a mode of transportation (usually taking turns) to reduce one's carbon footprint (less carbon, pollution, other gases, etc) being produced on a daily basis. HELPFUL!
Smog is fog or haze intensified by smoke or other atmospheric pollutants (factory emissions, car exhaust, etc). HARMFUL!
