Describe the advice you would give to someone who has a diet of fast food, which is high in fat and salt.

Answers may vary but should include: Start with changing one of those meals to a home cooked meal. Fresh is as good as frozen in terms of fruit and vegetables if you are time poor. Try to cut down on the fast food as too much fat and salt can be harmful for your health particularly for your heart. If you start by changing just one meal, then you can cut back each week and slowly keep fast food to just once a week, and include more vegetables as part of your meals to ensure you are receiving adequate nutrition.

Their diet needs to change. A diet of fast food that is also high in salt and fat can have a devastating effect on a person’s weight, heart health and self-esteem. If you eat only a few types of food, your body will not get all the nutrients it needs.
