Explain why Mr. Bradshaw and I decided to call this unit First Nations History instead of Australian History.
'Australia' only existed after this continent was colonised by British people, whereas First Nations people have been living on and caring for this continent for 60,000+ years before that.
If we only studied Australian history, we would be cutting off a huge part of the history of this place.
