What is a Double Page Spread?

What is a Pica?
The 1st sentence of a caption is written in this tense.
What is present tense?
Avoid asking these types of questions when interviewing a person. These types of questions are usually followed up by "Why?"
What are yes/no questions?
The name of the season that comes after summer and before winter that we put in our divider.
What is Autumn?
A photograph that is wider than it is tall.
What is a Horizontal?
The acronym for what a good article/story will do. (Double points if you can recite the acronym)
What is TEACH? (Tell the reader something they didn't know; Explain the event or moment; Appeal to emotions and senses; Capture humanity, personality, and powerful moments; Have tone, pace (movement), and voice)
The 5 W's and 1 H in question making.
What is who, what, where, when, why, and how?
Mrs. Claudio's room number.

What is 3,500?
Page numbers. These appear in some books as 88-Prom, Prom 89 or with a piece of artwork next to the page number.
The 3rd or 4th sentence typically contains this, usually found in an interview.
What is a quote?
These are the types of questions we want to write. Typically questions that don't get a yes/no response.
What are open-ended questions?
The number of awards the yearbook staff has won.
What is five?
(2251/2 + 5)3 - 5,000 = BLANK
What is 3,000? (RIP Iron Man)
The outside edge of the pages as identified by a heavy blue line. This is where Jostens will trim your final pages.
What is a Trim Line?
The phrases we want to avoid when writing captions. (1 of the 5 is acceptable).

The term for stalking with a purpose, typically to gain information on the person you are interviewing.
