What is: call the non-emergent police line to see if youth has been reported as a run away, and state the concerns stated by youth about contacting parents. Call youth crisis line to report abuse allegations made by youth against her parents. If youth screens in for shelter services, start an intake.
Someone stops by the shelter to drop off a donation of a check, clothing, and gift cards. What should you do?
What is: Make a note in the log about what donations were dropped off, what you did with the donations, any information about the donor, and if a receipt was given. Take the clothing downstairs to be washed and put the check and gift cards in the black lockbox in the office.
