How does a patient qualify for Quick start?

1. Must be new to therapy

2. Patient must be 18 years of age or older and have a GIST or SM diagnosis with an FDA approved indication (see Business Rules for ICD-10 codes).

3. Patient must reside in the US or its territories.

4. Payer coverage decision must be delayed beyond five business days.

No, the patient would only qualify for PAP of the service offered by YBP.

A clinical trial patient coming off clinical trials qualifies for a quick start how? 

They do not qualify for a quick start. They can qualify for a bridge supply as they are currently on therapy.

What can cause a Bridge to be needed? 

  • Patient must be experiencing a temporary lapse in insurance coverage 
  • PA re-initiation needed 
  • Change in insurance plan
  • Extended foreign travel during which time patient is unable to refill their prescription.
