What happens Internally and Externally when exchanges of gases occur?

External gas exchange happens in the lungs, where oxygen goes into the blood and carbon dioxide is breathed out.
Internal gas exchange happens in the body’s tissues, where oxygen leaves the blood to be used by cells and carbon dioxide moves into the blood to be carried back to the lungs.
