What do I do if my locker gets stuck?
Go to a nearby classroom. Any teacher will help you.
Can we bring our own lunch or do we have to buy lunch?
You can do either one.

At the beginning of the school year.

If you take the bus to school, how much time do students have before class starts?
At least 15 minutes.
How will we know the combination for our lockers?
Your seminar teacher will give this to you after a few days.

45 minutes
When is seminar (like home room)?
Always the last period of the day, which is 4th period, and always on a B Day.
How can I see the counselor?
Get a pass to leave your class or go during your lunch period.
What happens if we miss the school bus?
Parents will have to get you to school.
What happens if you forget your locker combination?
Is the lunch menu the same as SLES?
No, it is different. You can find it on the school's website.
How long do we have between classes?
5 minutes
What happens if I get an F?
During your seminar, go to see this teacher. Check in with your counselor, too.
What happens to the high school credit courses we have taken if we move somewhere else next year?
All transcripts and grades get transferred, as well as credit for all high school courses you have taken.
Do we get to pick a combination for our lockers?
No. They are assigned.
How much does lunch cost this past year? (Prices could go up).
$3.25 for full price, 40 cents for reduced, and there are also free lunches.
How long is each class period and how many do I have each day?
Each class period is 90 minutes. One day you have 4 classes for A Day, and the next day you have 4 different classes for B Day. Seminar is always the last period on B Day. Half the students will start the first day of school on an A Day, and half on a B Day.
What happens if I am late because I got lost?
The first week, everyone is pretty understanding. After that it depends on the teacher and how strict they are.
Does the school provide school uniforms for gym class?
No, you bring your own gym clothes.
What are three things you might put in your locker?
Books, coat, extra paper, extra pencils, lunch, snacks, a mirror, etc.
Do teachers let you eat during class?
Some do.
What are two things I can do during Seminar?
Check in with one of your teachers when you need help in that class, see the counselor, go to the office, go to the library.
What are two actions that can cause a student to get detention?
Dress code violation, Tardy three times overall, Unacceptable behavior, vaping, misbehavior on the bus.
With whom do 7th graders eat lunch?
7th and 8th graders eat lunch together during first lunch period which is 45 minutes long. Second lunch period, which is also 45 minutes, is for 9th through 12th grade. Middle school band students may have second lunch period.
