This is the Girl Scout signal for silence in a group situation. The person in charge raises his/her right hand and the Girl Scouts present fall silent and raise their right hands.
What is the Quiet sign?
This is used in almost every Girl Scout activity. Girl Scouts make the Girl Scout sign when saying this, by raising the 3 middle fingers to represent the three parts of this. This is the way Girl Scouts agree to act every day toward one another and to people in the world around them.
