Same, or almost the same. This is something in common that you may find when you compare two things

Authors may write like this to communicate facts, to teach you something like in your science/social studies books (nonfiction).

To elaborate on a subject, or give more information about a topic

Authors may write like this to convince or try to make you think a certain way or act upon something
PERSUADE
