He was the son of Jesse of the tribe of Judah.
He slew Goliath (a Philistine/enemy of the Israelites).
He became King of Judah after Saul, and united all tribes of Israel. His reign is recognized as a "golden age" of Israel...and serves as a type for when the Savior comes again.
Was the kingdom of Judah north or south of Israel?
South. Jerusalem was in Judah.
