He was the son of Jesse of the tribe of Judah.
He slew Goliath (a Philistine/enemy of the Israelites).
He became King of Judah after Saul, and united all tribes of Israel. His reign is recognized as a "golden age" of Israel...and serves as a type for when the Savior comes again.
Was the kingdom of Judah north or south of Israel?
South. Jerusalem was in Judah.
2 Sam 5:10 says, "...David went on, and grew great, and the Lord God of hosts was with him." With the Lord's help, what great thing did David do that blessed the lives of all the people in Judah & Israel?
