There is nothing against what you do in your own time in regards to smoking or drinking, however, an employee should NOT come to a work space smelling of weed, alcohol, etc. The staff member should take steps to prevent their belongings from smelling of this BEFORE entering a place of work.

Prompt ( walk over to the student and quietly re-direct him/her to the task)
Praise ( if student complies, quietly give a verbal praise such as a thank you)
Leave- quietly walk away and continue "working the room" walking around and visually checking to see that students are on task.
