Reader Response Journal or an RRJ. 

This is a way to do reading comprehension where you read a text and then write two paragraphs. One as a summary in your own words and the other a response of what you thought of the text. You also include quotes from the text these are known as your, "golden line." Doing this helps you retain the information and helps you participate in class discussions.
