What is the theory of evolution?

Is the geological column accurate? why or why not?
No it is a theoretical construct and doesn't exist in its entirety anywhere on Earth.
It only shows a small subset of actually what is found on earth (I.e. hard-shelled creatures like clams).
It also is not completely accurate because fossil evidence shows that the lower layers are not an accurate representation of Earth's history. This is because fossils in the Cambrian rock have been found that should not exist in rock older than Ordovician or Silurian.
