What does my child need to bring for their first lesson? 

If the child is not potty trained, a disposable swim diaper underneath a reusable swim diaper. If they are potty trained, just their swim suit and a towel. Goggles are optional but can sometimes help if the child is anxious about going underwater.

How long will it take my child to learn how to swim?

We don't put a set number of lessons or length of time that it will take for your child to learn how to swim. Each child is different and comes into our program with different sets of skills.

The first submersion will be a partial submersion to the ear but then every submersion after that will be a full submersion. It's important that your child learns to be comfortable under the water as effective swimming takes place with the face down in the water.

Why aren't new stars being added to my child's Aqua-Card every lesson?

The Aqua-Card is a mastery report, not a progress report. The progress is implied in-between the earning of the stars. Once your child has exhibited mastery of the skill on a consistent basis, they will then be awarded the star and they will move on to the next phase of that given skill.
