Covenant relationship is not only about a contract, its about a relationship, our personal relationship with God being willing to live the standards He sets, and in return He blesses and helps us.

Immortality: All of us will be resurrected and live forever because of Jesus Christ's resurrection.
Eternal Life: We all have the opportunity if we choose to live by a covenant relationship with God where we can live with God and like God eternally.

Why do we need a Covenant relationship with God?
Emily Belle Freeman: "It's not the course alone that will exalt us; it's the companion -The Savior. And this is the why of the covenant relationship." Covenant relationships allow us to not just "do" the right thing but to "become" someone who "chooses" the right thing.
