What is a read aloud?
You and your students read aloud an enlarged version of an engaging text that provides opportunities for your students to expand their reading competencies.
What is shared reading?

Provides students the opportunity to apply reading strategies and skills in a text while developing their own personal interests.

Phonics, spelling, and vocabulary.

What is the first read?
Teacher may be conferencing with students and providing support individually.
