What is Mental Health? 

“Mental health” is a concept similar to “physical health”: it refers to a state of well-being. Mental health includes our emotions, feelings of connection to others, our thoughts and feelings, and being able to manage life’s highs and lows.

What is Self Care? How can you partake in self care?

Self-Care will look different for everyone, but Self Care is doing specific things that will better your mental health. This could be: Journaling, going for a walk, talking to someone, painting, getting offline, meditating, deep breathing exercises, and so on!

What is Bell Let's Talk? How do you participate?

Bell Let's Talk is an annual campaign that aims to break the stigma and spread awareness of mental health. 

You can participate by spreading kind words, checking on your friends and family, OR if you have a phone texting someone with the hashtag #BellLet'sTalk

Everyone has mental health and will experience challenges regarding their mental well-being, but not everyone will experience a mental illness.

There are SO many different types of coping strategies you can use to help ease stress, here are some ideas: Meditation/mindful activities, breathing exercises/ deep breathing, exercising, going for walks, talking to a trusted adult, journaling, drawing, colouring, and so on.
