•Work with chief to verify coverage will be obtained if on ICU, Inpatient, 832 Office Hours
•If in the office, TigerText office manager with who will be covering your shift.

If you have to call out for illness after work hours (after 5pm, before 7am) what is the procedure?
•Call Chief to report your call out and arrange for coverage of your shift of on ICU, Inpatient, 832 Office Hours. Closed loop communication.
• Email rotation supervisor (physician), Dr. Stabile & Andrea Brumbach
•If unable to get in contact with chiefs, Tiger Text Dr. Stabile to alert her of your call out, she will respond via text. If she doesn’t respond, call.
When might you be asked to cover a shift for a colleague which was unexpected
Unexpected absences from work for which absence of a resident physician would disrupt one of the following
1. Patient Care (inpatient service, Night Float, Office Hours)
2. Team Based Care - Additional team member is required to provide satisfactory and appropriate medical care
