2nd Plane Development
In the 2nd plane, there is a shift from a child's identity being focused solely on family to identifying more with these people.

When is 8:05-8:30?
This area of our curriculum includes geography, history, earth science, physical science, botany, and zoology.
What is the Cultural curriculum?
Campus wide policy around phones and smartwatches.
What is keep them at home or in our pink bin by the classroom entrance until the end of the day?
The increased sense of justice and morality at this stage leads to children often lamenting in this phrase about life.
What is “That’s Not Fair!”
This is a time for your child to informally show you the classroom and works after morning carline.
What are buzz ins?
These two days students go the gym during arrival for Morning Fitness.

What is the Coming of Life?
Children in this stage need plenty of food and rest to support these “spurts“ both physically and mentality.
What are growth spurts?
These help record work, provide accountability, allow for goal-setting, and can be differentiated.
What are work plans?
Letters are the foundation of this curriculum area.

Many children enjoy our school specials, creating stories, and playing in depth games at recess because this characteristic is very vivid in the second plane.

What is Monday and Friday?
This area of the curriculum has consistent colors, builds slowly from concrete materials towards abstraction, and is usually the most confusing and exciting for families.
What is math?
This includes a multilingual song, photos, and family visitors.
What is a birthday celebration?
This is one of the most vital opportunities for learning and growth in Lower El, but is usually the hardest for families to observe and experience.
