What are the regulations surrounding the wear of black combat boots?
-Must be worn with ABUs, BDUs, and FDUs (flight duty uniform)
-May be worn with the service dress or service uniform when not wearing a skirt or maternity-wear
-Laces must be tied and tucked or tied and wrapped around the boot
-Any logos must be the same color as the boot
On what occasion is the top button of the ABU blouse buttoned?
Never!
When is the wear of a tie/tie tab required in the blues uniform?
With a service coat or long sleeve blues blouse
What are the regulations for fingernail colors/lengths?
-Not allowed for males
-Will be a single color, not to distract froom the uniform
-No extreme colors (purple, gold, blue, black, fire engine red or florescent colors)
-Well kept; no longer than 1/4 inch from the fingertip
Where does a badge go on both a female and male blues blouse if no other badges are worn?
Female:
-1/2 inch above highest row of ribbons (aviation and occupational)
-centered and parallel to the nametape on the left side (for aviation badges if no ribbons are worn)
-1/2 inch above the nametape (all other cadet badges)
Male:
-1/2 above the highest row of ribbons (aviation)
-centered on top of left pocket (for aviation badges if no ribbons are worn)
-centered on left pocket (pretty much every other cadet-earned badge)

What are the regulations for your desert tan undershirt?
"A standard Desert Tan short or long sleeved t-shirt will be worn under the ABU coat. Unit commanders may prescribe unit designation emblems, subject to the approval of the wing commander, not to exceed 5 inches in diameter, in cloth or silkscreen, worn on the left side of chest. Logos may also be placed on the back of the t-shirt with the approval of the wing commander. Neither unit designation emblems nor clothing company logos will be visible when wearing the ABU coat (shirt). Tan turtlenecks may also be authorized; thermal undergarments may be desert sand, white or cream-colored, and are authorized for wear as weather conditions warrant. T-shirts and turtlenecks will not have pockets and all must be tucked into the trousers."
How far does your flight device on the flight cap need to be from the front of the cap?
1 1/2 inches from the front and centered
Are cadets allowed to wear wigs?
Yes, as long as they are professional and follow hair regulation standards (males are not allowed to wear hair extensions, and wigs cannot be used to cover up out-of-regulation hair).
When "short stacking" ribbons, what are the regulations?
Highest promotional achievement and all other ribbons
Are JROTC/ROTC ribbons authorized for wear while in CAP Dress Blues?
Yes, as long as they are worn following CAP ribbons while the member is enrolled in the JROTC/ROTC program.
Is the wing patch mandatory on ABUs? What are the regulations surrounding the placement of the wing patch?
No. Your wing patch goes on your left shoulder, 1/2" below the seam of the sleeve, centered and facing upright.
What is the proper wear of the silver chrome-tipped belt?
For males, the silver tip will extend to the wearer's left. For females, the silver tip will extend to the wearer's right. In both cases, the front of the buckle will align with the fly and centerline of the blues blouse.
Can male cadets have a mustache and beard?
Mustache:
-Must be conservative
-Will not extend downward below the lip, above the lip, or to beyond the corners of the mouth
Beard:
-Not authorized without a waiver
-With a waiver, the all facial hair will not exceed 1/4 inch in length
-With a shaving waiver, facial hair must present a neat, clean, professional image
How many badges may be worn at one time on the Dress Blues uniform?
4, with commader's insignia not counting towards the 4 badges.
No more than:
-1 foreign badge
-2 aviation badges
-1 service badge
-1 NRA marksmanship badge
When is the wear of minitature medals authorized?
-Mess Dress uniform
-Civilian tuxedo or business suit (males) or formal dress (females) for a formal event

"The cuffs will remain visible and the sleeve will rest at, or within 1 inch of, the forearm when the arm is bent at a 90-degree angle."

Blue: primary members of region CAC
Red: primary members of wing CAC

White: members of Drill and Colorguard competition teams and acting colorguard members
Silver: graduates of the former National Honor Guard Academy and regional Honor Guard Academies may wear this cord permanently, and unit honor guardsment who are not graduates may only wear this cord while participating in honor guard activities
Aide de Camp: worn on the left shoulder when actively serving as Aides de Camp to General officers
