What does explicit instruction mean, and what is one thing you should not do in this time?

It is when Ms. Boyd is directly teaching us. Some things we should not do in this time are: Get up to throw something out, talk (unless answering a question), ask to go to the bathroom or leave the room, shout out, put your head down and sleep and sharpen a pencil.

What happens if I make a mess or am part of a group that makes a mess?

You have to clean it up. Even if you are just guilty by association.

Come in quietly. If Ms. Boyd is teaching, wait to ask her for help, or QUIETLY ask your partner what we are doing.
