User Defined values to select exactly the fields they want to appear in the report.
A customer wants to put a group of 20 random students into a class. What is a utility you could use to accomplish this?
Mass Add/Change/Delete Student Requests
My counselor likes to add way too many students to some classes and they end up really unbalanced. Is there any way I can restrict how many students they are able to enroll in a section?
You can use the configuration to require level 5 security access to exceed the class max.
A new counselor is struggling to memorize the course descriptions in Skyward. What do you recommend so that they can more easily locate the courses in the Course Master?
Change to the Sort by Short Description view.
My school has multiple counselors and students often speak with different counselors to get classes added and dropped. If I wanted to see which counselors have made changes for a specific student, where can I look?
View Transactions as well as Audit Trail.
When our school's internet goes down, I don't have any way to know which students are in which classrooms. Is there any report I could run and download each morning so I have that on hand just in case I need to find a particular student?
Student Locator Report > Could even recommend as a scheduled task.
I just set up scheduling team codes and I want to randomly assign them to all the students in the school. Demonstrate how I could run the appropriate utility.
A new secretary is printing out student schedules and wants to include the student logins and passwords for Student Access. She doesn't even have the option to include them. Why is that?
You need security to a specific menu path to print these fields on the Student Schedules report.
If a school is using a Flex Mod schedule, they will have some classes that are 45 minutes and some that are 90. What would they need to do so that the system knows that a class will last 90 minutes instead of 45?
Typically they'd add a second meet so the section is associated with 2 periods.
Add requests for all the possible courses, then run the Walk-In Scheduler using the Ignore option. Try each of the possible courses individually with the rest to see which would result in a conflict-free schedule.
Show how you could set up a report to identify students with more than 8 credits scheduled for this school year.
Student Credit Count Report > Include students with greater than 8 total credits.
I need to move all students in section 01 of Biology to section 02. Identify a utility that could be used to make this change and explain how it would be set up.

I'm trying to use the Walk-In Scheduler to get a complete schedule for a student, but a couple of the classes always seem to have a conflict. What are some things I could check to see why this is the case?
-Are there sections that fit the schedule?
-Are there co-reqs, pre-reqs, requirements, or constraints?
-Is there a reason the overall course doesn't process in the auto-scheduler?
Explain the difference between a Home Entity and an Away Entity in the context of CECE.
The Home Entity is where the course is based. The Away Entity is where the students are currently enrolled.
Edit class record from the profile, click Variable Credits, enter 2.0 earned credits.
I would like to distribute student schedules during 1st hour on the first day of school. How would you recommend I print their schedules so that it's easy to give them to the appropriate teachers?

We changed our period times this year and we must have missed updating them somewhere, because every once in a while I see the old times show up on student schedules. Where are these times coming from? Where do I fix them?

-Bell schedule on calendar day

Our 8th graders get to take a language class and have it count towards graduation if they pass. I don't want it to impact their GPAs, but I want to award 1.0 earned credits and have it look as if they'd taken it as a freshman. Demonstrate how this would be set up on a course.
Enter GLO on course. Check to have it included in the GPA (calc). Assign the appropriate number of earned credits, but award 0 GPA credits so that it doesn't factor into the GPA calculation.
A student is scheduled into an AP Lit class right now and wants to drop it. When I'm looking at the option on the scheduling screen, I see Unschedule, Replace, and Change. These all sound like they would remove AP Lit. What is the difference between these options?

Change > Drop the class and add a section of the same course.

My school made a ton of last minute changes to schedules before school even started. When I look at student profiles and transactions, it's already a mess and we haven't even started school yet. Name 2 utilities I could use to 1. get rid of classes that were never attended and 2. make sure students have an add transaction for all their classes.
1. Mass Delete Dropped Scheduling Records will clear out classes that have been dropped. Since school didn't start yet, these can be deleted completely.
2. Once it's the first day of school, run the Mass Create Initial Add Scheduling Transactions utility to make sure all student-class records have an add transaction.
-Calendar day (does it exist? correct day rotation?)
-Does course keep attendance?
-Attendance method on the class section
-Term dates
-Correct period for the class meet?
