• የሥላሴን ምስጢር ለመግለጥ (አብ በደመና፣ ወልድ በሥጋ፣ መንፈስ ቅዱስ በርግብ አምሳል)።
• የአዳምን የዕዳ ደብዳቤ ለመደምሰስ።
• ውኃን ለመቀደስና የጥምቀትን ሥርዓት ለመመሥረት።
• To be an example for us.
• To reveal the mystery of the Trinity (Father in the cloud, Son in the flesh, Holy Spirit in the form of a dove).
• To erase Adam's debt.
• To sanctify water and establish the ordinance of baptism.
