As Earth revolves around the Sun, we are facing different directions during the night, so we see stars in different parts of space.
Why don't we see the full circle of the moon lit up every night?
As the moon revolves around Earth, only the side facing the sun is lit up. We cannot see the side that is facing away from the Sun.
