Many students use this too much in their essays. It is when a writer retells the plot of a book.

This is the Citation Style we use in English 100.
MLA Citation
This is the part of the essay where you wrap up everything you discussed so far.

This is an organizational tool used to get each of your main points on paper before you write. It looks like a numbered list or bullet points.

This is what you do when you try to read the assigned reading or study right before the test.

This is usually the first step in the writing process and one of Mike's favorite things to do. To do this, all you have to do is get your thoughts on paper.

It comes at the end of the paper, and we don't want to forget to add it. Otherwise, we won't know where our source material came from.

A type of essay that requires the student to investigate an idea, evaluate evidence, expound on the idea, and set forth an argument concerning that idea in a clear and concise manner.
