You are asked a question by a current parent, past parent, prospective parent (anyone, really) about kids in classes, how many in each class, are we full, is there space, how many teachers are there, When is tennis, is yoga still going... What is your answer?
Refer them to me! It is okay to say "That's something you need to ask Rebecca," "I'm not at liberty to say, you'll have to email Rebecca"
You can tell them to email me if they signed up for a lesson!
You can also tell them about how their child is doing! That's extremely important. Any one of you can tell a parent what their child did that day.
If parents are asking you questions about their child, any one of you can answer.
"He really enjoyed reading books while sitting in a cardboard box, he was using it as his firetruck!, I do know that he did have a hard time keeping his hands to himself during outside time today. He would go up to each child and take their shovel away. Miss ____ did talk to him about it (say what was discussed) and after the third time of redirecting he had to sit and and miss out on some fun time. I just wanted to let you know about that situation, but other than that he seemed to be having a great day!"
However if it is due to something more serious, then the Head Teacher and I are the ones to have these discussions with parents.
Monkey room: only Michelle and Ariana can tell parents if a child is ready for any changes in diet or sleeping schedules.
Chameleon room: only Nicole and Amy are the ones to discuss potty training
Tigers: Only Lauren and Kim are the ones to discuss Kindergarten readiness
