A set of 2 or more equations with the same variables.
Why do we need a list of exponent properties?
Because there is so many properties and it helps us remember.
what is standard form?
Ax+By=C
How do you solve multi-step inequalities?
1) isolate the variable on one side of the inequality
2) solve for the variable
Explain substitution.
Plug the y= equation in for y in the other equation. Solve for x. Plug x in for x in the original equation.
How do you know which property to use?
Look at your list and see what the problem is most set up as.
y-y1=m(x-x1)
What are the rules for open/closed circles and for shading left/right on number lines?
Open circle: Not equal to
Closed circle: Equal to
left: less than
right: greater than
Explain elimination.
Get one variable to cancel out. Solve for the remaining variable. Plug that number in for the canceled out variable.
What are negative exponents?
Exponents that are negative.
what is linear regression?
One algorithm used to find a precice line of fit for a set of data.
Set it up into a positive and negative case.
Explain graphing.
Graph both lines. Where the lines intersect is your answer.
How do I solve for negative exponents?
Move them to the numerator or denominator to make it positive.
How is a scatterplot helpful?
When trying to find accurate data.
Solid: When the sign has and equal to
Dashed: No and equal to
Above: Greater than sign
Below: Less than sign
How do you graph a system of linear inequalities?
Graph the first inequality. Graph the boundary line—shade in the side of the boundary line where the inequality is true. Graph the second inequality. Your answer is where the shading overlaps.
