No. a lot of people believe they need to join a sorority/fraternity in order to make friends. As someone who is in one, I can vouch that I have made just as amazing friendships in my clubs/orgs because I am surrounded by people that express the same interests as me.

- read up on the curriculum. a lot of times you want to have an idea on what you are probably going to be learning throughout the semester to give you a better idea of what other classes you should take and whether or not you can balance everything.
- rate my professor (just give it a look)

- it is also the most rewarding experience, you should definitely consider joining a committee.

what should you do if your struggling in a class
- talk to the professor. a lot of times they do a much better job of explaining the material if you go to their office hours + this gives you an opportunity to connect with them on a one on one basis and now you may potentially have someone to write you a rec letter in the nearby future!
- get a buddy in class that way you guys can lean on each other for support.

No. Many people hear FGA and think "oh I can't join it because I am not a first gen." this is not true, we are FGA (first-gen ADVOCATES). To be a part of this club is to advocate for first generation students.

philanthropy means to organize or participate in a charitable event. Greek chapters volunteer their efforts and time to all sorts of organizations, including cancer research, literacy for children and adults, animal welfare, human rights, etc.
