The drop window is much shorter and typically includes a refund for the class. A Withdraw will remain on your transcript as a (W) but will not affect your GPA; typically, there is no refund with a W.

The student should follow the instructor’s policy, verify the information, revise the work into their own thinking and voice, protect private information, disclose AI use when required, and be able to explain the submitted work.
