Of course! Sleep helps out bodies recover and cool down after working all day long. Without it we can get very sick and have mental health problems.

Why might a trusted adult accidentally let you watch something or play a game that isn't really appropriate for you? Does that make them less of a trusted adult?

Maybe they didn't know that it's not good for you. It doesn't make them less trustworthy, but does tell you that sometimes you might have to think for yourself at times.

Do you think it's important to be careful when choosing mentors or looking up to people? If yes, explain. 

Of course! We learn from the people we surround ourselves with every day so it's important to pick people that build you up, not ones that bring you down!

How much screen-time is considered okay in a day for kids your age? What can happen if kids are on screens too long?

1 hour. Too much time on screens can increase anxiety, depression, isolation, loneliness, impulsivity.

Sugar and sweet things aren't part of our healthy food groups, why might that be?

Processed sugar, that is used in most candies, is very hard for our bodies to break down, quickly turns into fat if unused, and hurts out bodies.

What gets in the way of getting good, restful, sleep? 

Technology, stress, noises, too much light. Screen-time makes your brain think it's still daytime so it doesn't get you ready for sleep, it's best to turn off ALL screens (TV, games, phones, computers, etc.) 2-hours before bed.

Instead of being on tech, what are things kids typically do to be happy, have friends, and feel connected to their world?

Answers vary - Play outside, play sports, do art, play an instrument, read, go for a walk/hike/bike/etc., talk to a real life friend on the phone or in person, spend time relaxing/laying in the sun/being still, and so much more!
